Virgin Mobile to offer IPO.

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:fDkq1Ht4LRMBhM:http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/98/Virgin_Mobile_logo.png/175px-Virgin_Mobile_logo.png” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
Virgin Mobile, in a move to strut their status, has filled for an IPO which will take the company public and launch its shares for the public to trade. It's no surprise to anyone that Virgin Mobile is a highly successful virtual operator over here in the states, so this move only shows us the level on which this company has grown. Virgin Mobile will be listed under "VM" respectively and it has been predicted that they will generate an estimated $100 million with their entrance into the marketplace. Sprint / Nextel, the carrier representative for their American branch, will probably receive a nice amount of that $100 million, but we all know that when one gets a large sum of cash debt is the first place we go. Good job Virgin Mobile, you've not let everyone know how successful you are.

Verizon Launches Samsung u550

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:oUkpNKgeK94KvM:http://www.mycellphoneblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/samsung-u550.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
The long wait is over as Verizon unveils its latest mobile phone from their fold: the Samsung u550. The Samsung u550 is a mid-range clamshell built for fashion and function. It's elegant flip design is one of Samsung's best as far as clamshell phones are concerned. The external display featuring the Roman numerals on the clock is simply magnificent.
The Samsung u550 performs extremely well. Features, both basic and advanced, are quite user-friendly. The Samsung u550 is a great phone overall. But one major flaw would be its web connection. It is not as slow as a snail trying to cross a highway, but it would have been better if it was bit speedier. But even with that kind of mishap, the Samsung u550 will predictably revel in its domination over other mid-class mobile phones.
As for customizing, Verizon offers a wide range of
Samsung cell phone accessories such as cell phone batteries and cell phone antenna. Personlizing your phone is pretty much easier than you think.

Tracfone a frontrunner against FCC's tax increase

The Federal Communications Commision (FCC) has recently announced its plans to raise the Universal Service Fund (USF) fee to $1 or more every month. This new ruling would apply to all carriers of wireless service. While $1 doesn't seem like too much at first, for companies like Tracfone, this is nearly a 1600% increase from the previous USF fee. This increase adds up quickly and will definitely have a huge impact on Tracfone's financials. Tracfone is currently saying alot to get people to get on their side to protest against the FCC's rulings. The FCC is a federal committee but is operated completely by the public. Many past FCC rulings have been overturned because of public outcry, so hopefully for Tracfone this will be no exception.
